Be messy and complicated and afraid, and show up anyway.

My Approach
My name is Avery (she/her) and I’d be honoured to hear your story and help you build the life you desire. It takes courage to seek counselling, but I believe that every person has the ability to grow and create change. I aim to develop a safe and supportive environment for all my clients, that values honesty and vulnerability. I bring warmth and humour to the table, making a space where everyone can show up as their authentic self.

I work with teens and adults as they navigate all of life’s complexities. I have worked in both private and community agencies, developing therapeutic relationships with diverse populations, gaining experience in a broad range of concerns.

In my work I strive to collaborate with clients to explore themes of connection, choice, responsibility and personal growth, and how in doing so, you can build a meaningful life. I work alongside you to strengthen you capacities, develop coping skills, and amplify your voice. Drawing from a variety of counselling modalities allows me to meet the individual needs of each client. Together, we will decide the focus of our work, and develop a plan that is reflective of your unique needs and goals.
