My Approach
My name is Danica (she/her), and I am passionate about helping children, teens, adults, and couples navigate the complexities of life. Whether you’re wrestling with anxiety, navigating relationship struggles, managing workplace stress, or searching for direction, I’m here to support you every step of the way. My goal is to empower you to tap into your inner strengths, gain clarity, and move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy is client-centred, which means I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals. By integrating techniques from strength-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), I provide practical tools and insights that foster resilience, growth, and meaningful change. I believe therapy should be a space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self without fear of judgment. I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges.

I also work with children (ages 4+), creating a fun, warm, and supportive space where they can express themselves and feel understood. I focus on building trust and connection, using play based and creative approaches to help kids work through big emotions and everyday challenges. I have experience supporting children on the autism spectrum and those with ADHD, and I offer tools that help with emotional regulation, communication, and self-esteem. I’m passionate about helping children feel more confident, connected, and resilient as they grow.

Play-based Techniques
Play-based therapy uses a variety of toys, tools, and textures to connect with kids. Through play, children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others. Play is used to help kids express emotions they may not have the words for yet, build confidence, practice regulation, and much more.
